Bust Your Signature Move!

Understanding Your Greatest Strengths (and the Strengths of Those Around You)

(Available in 45-90 minutes and half-day options)

The best players on any team have a signature move...

When you understand who you are and how you are wired, your relationships are more authentic and your leadership is more effective. The DISC Model of Human Behavior is a great tool for helping you do this!

The DISC enables you to identify your personality strengths and weaknesses. What's more, even though this profile is amazingly accurate and comprehensive, it's also simple to understand and remember. This means the DISC is an effective tool that can be used every day in practically any situation.

The Bust Your Signature Move training is a highly-engaging, interactive experience based on the four DISC personality styles. During the training, participants discover their "signature moves" (personality strengths) and their potential "signature bloopers" (personality weaknesses) as well as the best strategies to "bust their signature move" (play to their strengths and compensate for their weaknesses). They also learn how to recognize other DISC styles, which is vital to effective leadership and interpersonal relationships. By the end of this training, all participants will be able to use two simple questions to continually bust their own signature moves and help team members do the same.

Understanding the DISC holds real-world value in leadership, employee engagement, sales, and more. Additionally, the increasing popularity of the DISC in corporate culture makes it an ideal instructional program.

Participants Will:

  • Identify the 4 signature moves (personality styles)
  • Identify their own best move(s) so that they can play to their strengths and compensate for their weaknesses
  • Ask 2 simple questions to quickly identify other people's signature moves
  • Encourage and build others up in their signature moves
  • Laugh and learn through creative interaction and participation

Heroes Work Here!

How to Be a True Hero and Why It's Likely Different (and Even Better) Than You Think

(Available in 45-90 minutes, half-day, full-day, and 2-day options)

We've all seen movies about heroes, but most scripts get it wrong.

In fact, the classic heroic story is the antithesis of most movies today.

So what does this have to do with you as a leader? Well, according to the classic heroic story, leaders can play the same role as the most influential character (but it's likely not the role you think it is).

In this fun, creative, and mind-stretching workshop, leaders will discover an empowering and more holistic way to think about employee engagement and team development.

Participants Will:

  • Learn the main elements of a classic heroic story and how these elements can positively reframe employee engagement and team development
  • Discover the leader's role in a classic heroic story
  • Discover the team member's role in a classic heroic story
  • Learn the one thing that matters most in team development and individual progress (if you miss this, no training program or workforce initiative will make a difference)
  • Discover practical skills for equipping employees to become their own hero
  • Laugh and learn through creative interaction and participation

How to Deliver an Unforgettable Presentation

(In Just 5 Simple Steps)

(Available in 45-90 minutes, half-day, full-day, and 2-day options)

The ULTIMATE training for people looking to take their presentation skills to the next level.

Effective communication is critical in any role, and the mark of a truly great communicator is the ability to energize and engage any "audience" while sharing powerful content...whether that "audience" is a team, a boardroom, or the main stage.

The problem with most presentation training, however, is the focus is often on things like posture, gestures, or how often you use filler words. Or it teaches worn-out strategies like outlining your speech the same way you outline a research paper. No wonder most presentation training leaves people feeling unauthentic and overly-scripted.

There is a better way!

How to Deliver an Unforgettable Presentation (in Just 5 Simple Steps) teaches a proven, 5-step system for effectively connecting with, communicating to, and convincing any audience. What's more, it teaches you how to do this without turning into a robotic, overly-scripted presenter who is tied to your notes.

This training is based on the same presentation system Kent teaches at his Killer Keynote Conference. Instead of focusing on outlines or bullet points, it zeroes in on a powerful communication tool Kent calls "anchors." By using anchors, you not only communicate your most important points in an unforgettable manner, but you also have the freedom to be you as a presenter. What's more, anchors empower you to present without using comprehensive notes... GUARANTEED.

This is the ultimate training for people who want to take their presentation skills to the next level!

Participants Will:

  • Learn how to craft an engaging, content-rich, unforgettable presentation using Kent's SPEAK UP™ System
  • Discover the power of "anchors" and how they are different than just telling a story or using an illustration
  • Learn how to embrace their authentic presentation style instead of being overly-scripted and canned
  • Laugh and learn through creative interaction and participation

What Does This Make Possible?

How Asking Better Questions Leads to Better Solutions

(Available in 45-90 minutes, half-day, and full-day options)

Are You Asking the Right Questions?

This training experience will positively challenge leaders and team members to do the opposite of what most people are doing right now. Instead of asking, “Why is this happening?” they will be inspired to ask a more empowering question: “What Does This Make Possible?!”

Through interactive and engaging activities and surveys, participants will discover that not only can they adapt to today’s reality, but they can actually transform the way they see challenges. Instead of just seeing problems, they start to see opportunities looking for solutions.

Participants Will:

  • Discover why asking better questions is so beneficial for leaders and their team members
  • Learn how to strategically use questions to cultivate better dialogue and build a stronger community
  • Discover why timing is so important when it comes to asking better questions
  • Be entertained and inspired by relevant, customized, and often hilarious examples, case studies, and interaction

How to Double, Triple, and Even Quadruple Your Results

(Without Adding Anything Extra to Your To-Do List or Adding Extra Hours to Your Workweek)

(Available in 45-90 minutes, half-day, and full-day options)

Have you noticed that many peak-performance experts and productivity speakers live unrealistic lives?

The ultra-marathoner who has sponsors so he can train six hours a day, rest-and-recover, and do it all again tomorrow.

During this in-depth and hands-on workshop, you will discover how a few practical habits can multiply your productivity and results without adding anything extra to your to-do list or adding extra hours to your workweek.

"Thank you for your invaluable contribution to our Rethink. Retool. Reset. Summer Conference. The feedback from participants is in and your closing keynote was a great success. In fact, the final verdict was: 'You knocked it out of the park!'"

—Sally Smith, Executive Director, Alabama Association of School Boards

“Kent Julian was outstanding! The number of positive comments we received about his keynote was more than any other speaker we have ever used in the past.

—Walt Roetter, Texas-Oklahoma Kiwanis Administrator

"Kent Julian knocked it out of the park with our team, which isn’t always easy to do. He was really funny, his stories were extremely engaging, and he was motivational without being corny. But most of all, Kent was real and what he had to say about resiliency and engagement in the workplace really hit home with our employees. We’ve had so many great comments!"

—Mike Jennings, Sherwin Williams

“Kent Julian's keynote at our Annual Leadership Conference was exceptional! In our business, we spend a lot of time training our team in just how important the little things are when it comes to performance, productivity, and customer service. Kent's ideas on "BIG is Little and Little is BIG" and how to move from "DREAM to DO" were spot on and helped us drive home what matters most in how we serve our customers."

—Bill Sinclair, President, PCC

“Kent Julian is high energy, he engages with his audience, and he’s hilarious. He’s also very professional and easy to work with. Our conference attendees loved his keynote and workshops, especially because he showed our members how to take control of their RESPONSE to every event they face in life or work so that they can positively determine each outcome. He even put it in an equation for us so that we never forget: E+R=O!

—Christine Phipps, Executive Director, New Mexico Business Professionals of America
